Catalog Preview, Club and Sneek Peek

Have you noticed?  I haven’t blogged all week. Want to know why… Other than being busier than a 2 legged paper hanger (that is a silly joke) I have also been creating art with new spring products.  As a consultant you get to play a month earlier than the catalog is released! I’ve also planning for a beach crop next weekend and a scrapbooking cruise the week after that- (LOVE MY LIFE),  But this weekend, it is ALL ABOUT THE NEW CATALOG and it is here!   Sneek Peek-

Isn’t it beautiful?  Wait until you see inside.  Our new papers and products are TO DIE FOR!!!!  Would you like to see a book?  If you live close by, come to my New Idea Book Preview Party/ Club tomorrow afternoon.  It will be at the Hampton Inn from 3:00- 9:00.  We will also be doing my monthly club and a Valentine Day Card Workshop.  Or…. just come and work on your own projects.  Be sure to RSVP. Seating is limited.

I know you are going to ask- Tina, what are you most excited about in the new catalog? I get that question ALL THE TIME!  I usually dodge the question because favorites are hard for me. But today,  I will tell you (and even give you a sneek peek of my ALL TIME FAVORITE).  The paper kit is called FOOTLOOSE and it is all about the beach.    I will share with you my Workshop On The Go art.  I am teaching this kit, next month, even though it is still winter here in Florida.  That is how excited I am about it.   No way can I wait until June to do this kit.   I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!  I have already been through 3 paper packs and 3 of the Components-dimensional Elements that coordinate with the paper pack.  I will save some of my other art to share later, but for now, here is FOOTLOOSE!

Featured Layout- I did change the photos up a bit.  The sea turtles are so beautiful that I changed the suggested size photos to make the larger so that you could see the details!-

The Additional Layout- SO FUN!  The photos are from my trip to Hawaii last year.  I am going back to Hawaii on a cruise that I earned with CTMH at the end of February,  so these layouts are really exciting me!  Yes, I know I am spoiled.  I get paid to play with paper and ink, and I get to go on amazing Incentive Trips- FREE!  (Alaska, all over the Caribbean, Mediterranean, New Zealand)  You can too, just ask me how!  I would love to share it with you!

The featured stamp set has a sea turtle and a sea horse.  The Footloose Components Dimensional Elements has a Flamingo on it.  The stamp sets that coordinate with it have fish on one set and flip flops on another set.  HOT DOG… I feel like Jeanette custom made this set just for ME!!!!!

I even have my bonus projects finished.  I LOVE IT….  Here is the cover!  It is a 6 x 6 accordion album!

A better look at the pages- FLAT so you can see them.  Front of Book:

The other side of the book- flat.

Hope you enjoyed today’s art!!!!  And I even hope more that I will see you at the Catalog Preview/ Club/ Workshop,- whatever you want to call it, TOMORROW!   Until then, FOOTLOOSE and fancy free.  (Gosh I am corny today!)  Beachy, Hawaiian, Aloha Hugs….

Happy New Year- It’s a Penguin Paddle

Happy New Year!  As you have probably noticed I have not been posting as much as usual.  December was a blur for me.  It started with the unexpected trip to Hawaii to take my Dad to the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.  I came home and hosted two holiday parties- one for my customers and one for my team.  Then it was Christmas.  The week after Christmas I hosted a shrimp boil for the Pensacola Pearl Harbor Survivors and all that went to Hawiaii!  WHEW… the holidays are enough to wear you out.  After the crazy holiday, Kent and I decided to celebrate New Years Day at Navarre Beach participating in the Penguin Paddle!  Many of you are probably asking- What is a Penguin Paddle?  A Penguin Paddle is the name of a local event in Navarre.  You take your Paddle Boards to the beach and participate in a one mile race- AND HOPE THAT YOU DON’T FALL IN THE COLD FLORIDA WATERS!  After the race, they have a Penguin Plunge, where you can run into the water and get wet if you like.  (Not like for me- LOL)  This was the fist year that we attended and it was so much fun.  I really enjoyed it, despite the wind.  The course was a bit challenging but we did it.  Here are a few photos that Kent took-

So happy… I got my Penguin Paddle Shirt, and it is stink in’ cute!

Kent’s trying to keep me warm.  The thought of falling into the water makes me cold!

The boards are lined up and ready to go!  My board is behind me… it is the cutest one there- It’s Pink!  YOLO!

I finished the race… and I’m dry.  YAY me!

Regina, myself and Stacey… it is all about the fun factor!

These cute girls are ready for the plunge.  I just love their hats!  Total Cuteness!

Now, what I love, even with my crazy schedule, I was able to scrapbook these photos in minutes using Studio J Scrapbooking.  Take a peek at my Penguin Paddle Layout…

How fun is that???  I love Studio J… it’s scrapbooking without the mess.  If you would like to try it, just click here on my link.  You can try it for free, without any requirement to purchase!

New Year’s Day was super fun.  I am going to leave you with this quick video Kent took of the Penguin Plunge.  Its not the best quality but still fun to watch.

Some quick artwork

I have been super, super busy!  I wanted to share some Art that I created over the holidays. Hope you like it!

Take time for creating….

3 D Acrylix Card made out of Believe Paper

Ho Ho Ho!  Wow, this holiday season is busy.  This post is going to be short and sweet but I wanted to post this Acrylix Card that I made a few weeks back.  It is such a fun card.  It was made using the following products-  Believe Paper, Acrylix Cards, Art Philosophy Cartridge and Christmas Cheer Stamp Set.  I made the Christmas tree on the front 3 Dimensional by cutting out the tree 4 times on the Cricut Cartridge.  Then I folded them in half and glued them together.  Remember the rule on Acrylix Cards.  What shape goes on the front, must go on the back.  So, I cut one tree for the inside of the front card.  Thanks for looking…..

15 Christmas Tags, in 15 minutes, less than 50 cents!

This December has been a whirlwind.  I just started Christmas shopping this week.  So that means, I am way behind on wrapping, cards and gift tags.  Who has time?  This week, I am making quick and simple tags to put on my gifts.  They are so expensive to buy, I have the stuff so why not make them.  Would you make your own tags if you could make 15 tags, in 15 minutes for less than 50 cents?  I bet you would.  Let me show you how!  All you need is the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, some paper and stamps!

1.  Take a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.  Load it into your cricut and choose the design you want to cut.  I am cutting Christmas trees at 3″ to coordinate with the D1493 Fill In the Blank Holiday Stamp Set!

2.  Hit Auto Fill on your cricut.  And then hit Cut.

The machine then tells you how many times it will be cut out!

So the Christmas Tree shape will be cut 15 times at 3″.  This is what it will look like when it comes out of your machine.

3.  Take your Fill in the Blank- Holiday stamp set and stamp the tags.  Simple, Fast and Easy!  Good for your pocketbook too!

15 tags, less then 50 cents, less than 15 minutes.  Doesen’t get much better than that!

Here are some samples of some other tags- quick and easy but with just a little more bling-

Happy Tag Making!

A Week of Holiday Parties

This week has been a whirlwind.  It has been a week of holiday parties.  Tuesday, I had my team cookie Exchange.  Then on Thursday, I had my scrapbook club party!  Once a month, I host two scrapbook/card classes.  One is in the morning and one is in the afternoon.  In December, it is a tradition to cook dinner for my group.  So this is how it goes.  From 3-6, I teach class.  Debbie helps- and then I go cook dinner.  At 6- both the day time class and the night time class meet and we have a holiday party!  From 7 until- we have night time class.  I always love the December meeting as we eat, party and create.  Here are a few photos from the event.

Marie and Cheri- Finishing their holiday cards.  YEAH… they got them done!

Cynthia and Jen waiting to eat!!!!  I love Cynthia’s new look- she just got home from 3 months in Italy.  Europe agreed with her for sure!

Peppermint Ice Cream Pie anyone?

A few of the gals from Nightime class!  We missed you Tomcat!

The Art Projects- this month we had two kits to choose from- Believe or Wonderland.

Cherie wanted close up photos of my Wonderland cards, so Cherie, this is for you.  They are not the same as what is in the flyer, and I used a few different stamp sets.  The photos are not the best, as I took them in clear envelopes and on the art board.  But, you should be able to see the detail enough to duplicate.

Scrapbook class is super fun.  We meet monthly, so if this is something you are interested in, call me.  We would love to have you join!

So that took care of my parties.  But last night we had a party in Destin with Kent’s company.  This is always a fun event because we get to wear our holiday glitz.  I am way into sparkle and bling this year!

I think the season is in full swing!  HoHoHo!  Hope you are having a Holly Jolly Christmas Season!
