Stamp Of The Month- Friendship Boquet
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the May Stamp Of The Month! The sunflowers are so fun and the sentiments on the set are great. I took a few minutes yesterday to create with it. LOVED IT, I couldn’t stop making cards. There is something about sunflowers that just want to make you smile!
So often when creating with realistic stamps we think that we need to keep it traditional. WRONG! Sometimes it is fun to think outside of the box and make it funky! I created this card below, just for fun! I used our Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the shape of the card and the background and texture paper. Then I used our Dottie for you Paper to add color. I love the way it turned out. FUN, FUN, FUN!
You can order the stamp of the month for $19.95 or for $5.00 with a $50 purchase. The Dottie for You Paper is our special for National Scrapbooking Month. A packet is only $5.00 with a $35.00 purchase. For more information, or to place your order, click here!
V is for Victory… YOLO!
Last August, I learned to Stand Up Paddle. After my first ride on a YOLO Board, I was in love! I knew that I had to get Kent involved. For Kent, it was not love at first sight. Every time he got on a board he fell off. He was really frustrated that I liked it so much. Kent did not take a lesson like I had done. He did not want to learn from me, so he just did the trial and error thing. (you know, get on the board, fall off!). He got more and more frustrated! Finally he went to the YOLO shop in Santa Rosa Beach, talked to Josh, learned how to ride, and bought a board. Since then, he has learned to love the sport. This Saturday we both entered our third race. We decided to do the one mile paddle, not the three mile paddle! Take a peek as all of us getting ready to ride… (Kent has the bright orange shorts and I am almost the last one in the photo. I have a brown shirt on and a pink board).
When the race started, Kent took off, leaving me in the dust. From what I could tell he was about number four during the race. I was so busy concentrating on staying on my board, and not falling in the water, that I didn’t really pay close attention to where he was at. Can you imagine when my surprise when I finished the race and learned that Kent had WON the race!!! He came in at number 1 and completed the one mile course in about 10 minutes. WOOHOOO! A friend of mine took his photo as he came ashore!
The race was sponsored by Sacred Heart Hospital and was called Paddle for Preemies! They did not award trophies at this race but Kent won this wonderful tote bag! I love this photo- I will treasure it forever! I am so proud of him. He went into the race-thinking there is no way I’ll ever win! WOOOOHOOOO…. V is for VICTORY! I’m doing the happy dance for him!
I find it ironic that next month at my open crop we are going to work on the scrapbook kit called Victory! I completed the layout before the race-and find it even more ironic that the photos I chose features Kent and all of his water sports! Here is my completed Kit….
Here is a closer look at the cards-
If you like this kit, join me on May 30th from 3:00- 10:00 at the Navarre, Florida Hampton Inn! You can complete a kit like mine above or work on any project that you wish. Just call me to reserve your spot. Hope to see you there!!!!

Sharing my Hawaiian Island Vacation Video
My Hawaii Video is finished! Thank you so much Close To My Heart for giving me the wonderful opportunity to earn this incredible trip. We have put this video together to share our land and sea adventures in the Hawaiian Islands…. MY HAPPY PLACE! Hawaii is truly a magical destination, like no other. Thanks to my team members, my friends, and all the sea creatures who were part of this video! Grab a coke, sit back and enjoy! Watch in HD if possible!
Hawaii Album- Livin’ the Life!
As most of you know, Hawaii is my happy place! I have been blessed to visit Hawaii three times this year! The last trip was an incentive trip that I earned through Close To My Heart. I spent a few days in Honolulu before taking the cruise, and a few days with friends after the cruise! I have so many photos to scrapbook- and I finally got started with my pages. Take a peek at what I have done so far…

Ok Girls… Don’t hate me. Yes, that is Jax from General Hospital… Ingo Rademacher! I met him in Florida and he taught me to SUP- stand up paddle board! He is a wonderful teacher. Ingo, his wife and son moved to Hawaii this past summer and I arranged for my team cruise earners to get a group lesson with him! Boy was that a fun day. If you are ever in Hawaii, and looking for something fun to do, add a SUP lesson from Ingo to your MUST DO list! You can schedule a lesson at http://www.keaweadventures.com.

Our group lesson was so much fun! We laughed, we paddled, we got wet… it was a great day. I am so proud of my team and it was so fun to YOLO BOARD with the gals in Hawaii! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!!!
The layout above is just some candid shots from our trip. I created the layout above for my secret sister and decided to make on for myself too! The photos are some of my favorites of just hanging out on the beach and on the ship!
The next layout was from our snorkel trip to Molkeini Crater in Maui. I have hundreds of photos from the trip but I have only one page done so far. I can’t wait to scrapbook the rest! I just love the sea turtle stamp- not sure if you can see it in the photo, it is just right of the flowers! One thing that made a big difference on the layouts- but you can’t see it in the photos is popping out so me of the photos and the titles with foam tape. When you see the layouts in person, it just POPS! Such an easy step to add dimension to your pages!
The beauty in Hilo is under the water. The tide pools snorkeling was INCREDIBLE! I just love these photos!
Kona is one of my favorite islands. The photos above were from a snorkel trip to Captain Cook Monument. The water is so blue and clear there. We saw fish, dolphins, whales and even a moray eel. (Check out the top right photo) Kona is beautiful- one of my favorite islands!
What can I say about Kauai? We did an kayak-hike to a waterfall. Can I say mud? Kauai had 34 inches of rain the night before this trip. It was crazy. It was fun, it was wet, it was MUDDY! The photos can’t even begin to describe this day. I will be posting a You-tube video within the next week that you will have to watch to capture the magic of this port!
I have so many great photos from my trip. This is only a sampling. More photos, and more layouts to come soon. In the mean time ENJOY! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the FOOTLOOSE paper packet. I think it is my all time favorite!

Still Rockin’ at 90 Years Old
This month, my dad turned 90! Can you believe it? How many people actually get to experience a 90th birthday! Last weekend we celebrated his 90th birthday. What a fun time we had. Here is a Studio J layout that I created for the occasion-
He had a great time. It was such a pleasure to spend this special day with him! Take a peek at the card I made-
And every party needs a banner! This one was so fun to make. I used Dottie Paper- which is a special that you can buy next month!
This was a super day! If only we could all have such a great life!
Oh Baby Baby!
Spring is in the air and I have friends having babies! My friend Sherry is 41. She just got married for the first time (so excited for her) and now she is having a baby girl. I was unable to go to her baby shower, as I was in Hawaii, but I made her a few gifts. The banner was hung at the shower and she loved the baby album. Take a peek-
I made a banner called- It’s a Girl. It was very hard to take a photo of this project. I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to make the 3-D flowers. Here are a few close ups so you can see some of the details up close and personal!
I’m loving me some 3-D flowers! Great way to add dimension!
I love making these banners. So fun to bling up. I used Lucy Papers for this project!
This paper has been discontinued but I stocked up on it. I just love this paper and made her a cute acrylix album using our papers and ribbon. So cute, so fun!
And, I made a simple card to give her. I just love doing baby stuff!
Then my favorite Jazzercise instructor and friend Jane has a daughter having a baby boy. I made a simple mini-banner for her daughters shower. She is having a boy!
I just love babies and spring! Too bad I’m too old to have one of my own. LOL! Have a great spring day!
